The latest Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang, revealed at the North American International Auto Show held in Detroit, is the newest bad boy on the track.
“The Shelby GT350R Mustang is a no-compromise car in the pursuit of maximum track capability,” said Raj Nair, the Ford Group’s vice president of global product development. It is clear that the Shelby GT350R Mustang has made some major improvements.
In an effort to conserve weight, the GT350R shed its back seats, stereo system, air conditioning, and backup camera. With the loss of those items and the incorporation of carbon fiber wheels, the GT350R weighs an astonishing 130 lbs less than its GT350 counterpart resulting in quicker acceleration, better braking, and better control around corners.
Under the hood, the GT350R includes a 5.2-liter 500 horsepower V8 engine, which may leave some racers unimpressed compared to the 650 hp of the Corvette Z06 and the 707 hp of the Hellcat. However, Ford assures us that with the tuned up suspension, aerodynamic exterior, and impressive thrust-to-weight ratio, the Mustang is sure to be the fastest on the track!
Come visit us at Highway Ford this spring and feel the power of the Mustang GT350R.
Awards for the new F-150 just keep coming in, including the Truck Trend Pickup of the Year. Not only is the new model tougher and more capable than ever, but it’s also one of the smartest pickups Ford has developed to date.
So what does “smart” mean? According to Ford, the 2015 F-150 features a new 360-degree camera, integrated loading rams, BoxLink™ brackets and cleats, LED headlamps, and a remote tailgate among other things. To top it off, the lightweight aluminum design and all-new engine options make it more efficient and powerful than ever.
“Ford has found a sweet spot in the half-ton pickup segment, delivering a compelling mix of efficiency and capability, while still delivering an enhanced driving experience that American consumers demand,” said Sean P. Holman, Truck Trend content director. “What we put these trucks through was nothing short of grueling, and it was the F-150 that consistently impressed our experts.”
So far the 2015 F-150 has won 16 awards – not too bad considering it’s been on the market for less than a year. Truck Trend isn’t just following suit by giving the new model the prestigious title; they recognize the incredible new design and capability of the 2015 F-150. Ford has introduced several cool, new apps for Ford SYNC AppLink to improve owner convenience and entertainment, including AccuWeather, Life360, and Radio Disney.
The AccuWeather app introduces MinuteCast technology to AppLink customers, which uses an exact address of GPS location to provide minute-by-minute forecasting, information about precipitation type, intensity, and duration to the driver, so the weather will never surprise or hinder you ever again.
Life360 is a free smartphone app that helps family members and close friends stay in touch by showing where they are on a private map and allowing them to send group or one-to-one messages. Being busy is no longer an excuse not to stay in touch!
Most of all, families will enjoy Radio Disney, a 24-hour network devoted to kids and tweens with family-friendly content. It features music, interviews, and live performances by some of today’s most popular artists.

The Ford camp is simply abuzz with the arrival of the all-new, groundbreaking aluminum-body F150. To help get the word out about this incredible truck, Ford initiated a marketing blitz that began on New Year’s Eve.
The underlying message? The Ford F150 is the ‘Future of Tough.’ Edmunds.com explains how the commercial’s focus is on “the strength and durability of the new truck and innovative new features such as integrated ramps and a remote tailgate.” One spot in particular highlights the new F150’s capacity, showing off its 12,200 lb towing capability.
For the Future of Tough campaign, Ford is even going so far as to redesign its Built Ford Tough logo. While stalwarts may be a little perturbed by this refresh, they should know the essence of the design will remain the same. Ford just felt that it was appropriate that the logo be built out of aluminum as well.
Come out to Highway Ford today and test-drive the ‘Future Of Tough’ in 2015.
